The lovers card represents the garden of eden, the sign of Gemini, the divine masculine and feminine, sacrifice and temptations. 

When we see the lovers card the first automatic response is “oh yay love” when in fact this card shows us the journey to love and union as it brings us closer to the two of cups. 

In this card we see a beautiful angel over the union of the divine masculine and feminine watching over them, helping them to heal and protecting their love and union. 

There is a mountain in the middle of the two of them which represents the journey they embark on to get to each other. 

If you notice the mountain is steeper for the feminine then the masculine as she must do 90% of the work in order to activate the masculine into his healing and she has a steeper journey as she must leave the life that she has once known to Journey with her partner, whereas the masculine goes a great distance of clearing karma on his journey to be with his feminine. 

The feminine has more tools on her tree for her journey as she is the oracle and is the channel of the great divine so she sees before the masculine often does. The masculine has less tools on his tree (but it does not make him any less powerful) (remember he is action, feminine is receiving), but is still making the journey as he clears karma on his journey into union. 

Both DF + DM have temptations but know that in order to come into union they must release and resist temptations fully. 

The sacrifice that both make in order to come into union is a journey in itself but is worth it as both of their worlds come together they expand their blessings, love and souls work. 

The angel above watches and protects each one so that they can do their work as they make their way together. 

The union is very much so about also honoring and balancing the DF + DM within ourselves as well as we all carry it within.
