Chiron the wounded healer stations Rx in Aries at 9 degrees – 4 degrees until 12/15.⠀
Chiron at 9 degrees represents our push and pull between our destiny and where we currently are.⠀
Oh how fitting to what we are all currently feeling.⠀
It represents the space where we are walking a thin line of impatience of our past and hungry to start something new as our souls ache to create something different, but unsure of the outcome it will create.⠀
Chiron is an asteroid represented by the Centaur- half human, half horse.⠀
Chiron’s mother Philyra was so distressed when Chiron was born that she pleaded for the Gods to change her and so they did into a Lindon tree, thus abandoning Chiron forever. Apollo later found and took care of Chiron by teaching him many skills and the art of healing.⠀
Chiron’s wounds came from a bar fight where Hercules lashed out and one of his arrows struck Chiron in the leg. Chiron could never heal this wound and suffered from the wound the rest of his life as Chiron he was immortal. He went on a journey to try everything to heal it but never could until Hercules pleaded with Zeus to allow Chiron to trade places with Prometheus.⠀
Prometheus was chained to a rock where a large bird would eat his liver each day only for it to grow back during the night.⠀
To end the torture Zeus agreed and thus Chiron became mortal to end his suffering.⠀
After he died Zeus immortalized him as the constellation, Centaurus. ⠀
Chiron reminds us that our wounds are here to bring us on a journey of deep healing and oftentimes we move through the same healing in multiple lifetimes. ⠀
Chiron teaches us to dive deeper into our wounds and to see where we are make sacrifices for those wounds, where we are inflicting pain on ourselves and on others and where we need deeper healing.⠀
With Chiron in Aries we are diving deeper into our wounds around the Divine Masculine, diving deeper into where our ego is running the show, where we are in fear around being seen, where our need for control/power is, where we struggle with leading, our issues with self worth/identity and where we fear taking the next steps.⠀
Aries is the great “I AM” and teaches us about identity. When Chiron is in Aries we struggle with woundings around rejection, being misunderstood, affirming our power and are sensitive to other people’s opinions.
We get to look at where we are going back and forth in our own minds and abandoning our true gifts and powers.
Over the next five months we will be given an opportunity to see where we allow our wounds to hold us back from all of our power and where we allow ourselves to make ourselves small in order to keep others happy.
The roots may be deep my love, but without the dirt there is no lotus awakening.
